Abstract

Molecular binding fingerprint of Morinda lucida derived compound - rubiadin, with lysophosphatidic acid receptor one to six, to proffer solution to various diseases caused by lysophosphatidic acid receptors. Activities of the M. lucida derivative with lysophosphatidic acid receptors were determined using bioinformatics analysis. The results gotten were compared with the standard antagonists currently in use according to binding affinity to receptors. Rubiadin showed higher binding free energy with the receptors than the standard antagonists. This finding will proffer a new way of inhibiting the activities of lysophosphatidic acid receptors by using derived compound from M. lucida rather than synthetic compounds that are often characterized with side effects.
