Science Research Annals: Biological Sciences is a peer-review journal devoted to the publication and dissemination of latest and high-quality scientific ideas and findings in the broad field of biological sciences. The journal accepts manuscripts from areas of biological sciences that include, but not limited to, General Biology, Cell Biology, Structural Biology, Developmental Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics Biochemistry, Plant Science, Biotechnology, Plant Biology, Entomology, Biodiversity, Toxicology, Ecology, Environmental Biology, Marine Biology, Animal Science, Microbiology, Fisheries, Bioinformatics, and Ethno-Medicines.

Publishing Ethics and Policies
Science Research Annals - Biological adheres to strict publishing ethics and policies. Submission of a manuscript to Science Research Annals implies the following.
- The research described in the manuscript has not been previously published nor under consideration for publication elsewhere.
- The submission is known and approved by all authors.
- The research presented in the manuscript is authors’ own original ideas and does not involve any form of falsification, including plagiarism, that can compromise the publishing integrity of the work. Duplication of other authors’ published work or author’s own work must be duly and properly acknowledged.
Preparing your Manuscript
Manuscripts must be clearly written in English using Microsoft Word. They must be typed using Times New Roman with 12 pt and double-line spacing. The page layout should be single column and generally not exceeding 18 pages. Page exceptions are available for Review Articles
Submission and subsequent publication of manuscripts must be approved by all authors, or by the responsible authorities/laboratories where such research was carried out. Full and complete names of authors and institutional affiliation contact addresses must be provided. Corresponding author’s name and email address must be indicated.
Declaration of Competing Interest
Authors are advised to declare any known competing financial interests or personal relationships that could have appeared to influence the work reported in their manuscripts. This statement should be included directly after Acknowledgements (if applicable).
Disclosure of Funding Source
Science Research Annals requires authors to declare all sources of funding (institutional, private, and corporate financial supports) for the research described in their manuscript. This funding statement, which should be placed directly after Declaration of Competing Interest statement, includes the name of the funding/granting agencies and the grant numbers.
Referencing
Science Research Annals uses APA (American Psychological Association) 7th edition referencing style. Authors are advised to visit the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association or the APA Style website at https://apastyle.apa.org/ for detailed standards and procedures. Submitting your Manuscript
Submission of manuscripts to Science Research Annals - Biological implies that such manuscripts have not been previously published nor under consideration for publication elsewhere. Manuscripts should be submitted through the online submission page. First time authors are required to register before proceeding to the online submission page, while registered/returning authors can use their existing username and password. Science Research Annals - Biological reserves the right to reject any submission that does not comply with the journal’s guidelines.

Authors can track the status (editorial, peer-review, and publication) of their submitted manuscripts through the online submission link.
Peer Review Process
Manuscripts submitted to Science Research Annals - Biological undergo a double-blind peer-review process. Upon submission of the manuscript, the Editor-in-Chief screens the manuscript for suitable quality and determines whether the manuscript meets the aims and scope of the Journal. If it does, then the Editor-in-Chief transfers the manuscript to the Managing Editor, who will subsequently find, at least, two (2) suitable experts in the field, as referees, to review the submitted manuscript. The review process takes approximately a month (4 weeks) from the date of receipt of the manuscript. Based on the referees’ reports, the Editor-in-Chief communicates the corresponding author accordingly via email. If revisions are required, the authors make the necessary corrections within a timeline set by the Editor-in-Chief. The corresponding author then submits the revised version of the manuscript. Upon a satisfactory correction, the Editor-in-Chief sends an official acceptance letter via email to the corresponding author. The article is prepared and appears online subsequently.
Open Access Policy
Science Research Annals- Biological Sciences is an open-access journal, which means that all content is freely available without charge to the user or his/her institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author.
Article Processing Charge (APC)
and maintenance of open access journals. Authors of accepted manuscripts are required to pay a nonrefundable publication fee of 30,000 NG Naira (thirty thousand Nigerian Naira)/50.00 USD (fifty US Dollar) upon the receipt of acceptance notification. The APC is to cover the costs of manuscript production and hosting, and customer services. The corresponding author of the accepted manuscript is responsible to make the payment upon editorial acceptance of the manuscript. Payment should be made via the online payment system (link provided).
Publication Timeline
The average timeline from submission to publication for Science Research Annals - Biological articles is 16 week. We endeavor to publish all accepted article within 4 weeks of acceptance.
Frequency of Publication
Science Research Annals - Biological publishes at least two (2) issues annually (1st Issue: May) and (2nd Issue: November). Article submission is acceptable at all times and the volume of accepted articles could increase the number of issues published in a year. Special issues on current topics are planned. Researcher are therefore advised to propose special issues to the Editor-in-Chief.

Authors of published manuscripts can purchase an issue of the specific volume in which their articles appear. Authors can order a printed hardcopy of an issue via email, or by filling an online order form (link provided).
Plagiarism Policy
Science Research Annals - Biological maintains a zero tolerance policy on plagiarism. All articles submitted to Science Research Annals - Biological are checked for plagiarism violations using anti-plagiarism tools..
Use of Generative AI
For Authors:
- Authors must disclose any use of generative AI in preparing their article, beyond straightforward language correction, editing and formatting.
- Authors are responsible for checking the validity of the output of any automated tools used in their research and preparing their manuscript.
- Automated tools such as AI cannot be listed as authors in an article.
- Generative AI cannot be cited as a source or reference.
For Journals Editors and Reviewers:
- Peer reviewers and editors must not use generative AI to create their assessments of articles, due to risks such as breaches of confidentiality, superficial and non-specific feedback, bias, hidden prompts, and false information such as fake references; editing and rewriting may be acceptable if fully
- The use of AI tools for plagiarism detection and detection of Generative AI materials in submitted articles is required.
Any use of automated tools should be overseen by humans (human in the loop). Editors or other staff must verify the automated detection of integrity issues such as text similarity, figure manipulation or duplication, or undeclared generative AI use, or automated peer reviewer suggestions.
Archiving Policies
All articles published by Science Research Annals - Biological Sciences are permanently archived in the Public Knowledge Project Preservation Network Archive.
Repository Policy
Authors may freely deposit their articles published by Science Research Annals - Biological Sciences in their respective institutional repositories or other repositories of their choice.
Copyright Policy
Science Research Annals - Biological © 2024 is licensed under CC BY-NC-ND 4.0
Copyright Transfer
Once an article has passed review, the corresponding author, acting on behalf of all listed authors, is required to freely transfer all publication rights to Science Research Annals - Biological. Once done, Science Research Annals - Biological retains all right over the article. Authors are however allowed to store and share their articles and any other article published by the Science Research Annals - Biological for non-commercial purposed.
